One more step towards the automation of our production with our new Laser delivery

We talk about it regularly here and on Linkedin, we are engaged in a long term project to modernise our global operation and automate production at the factory. As a key step in this project, we have recently received our new Mazak Optiplex 4020 Fiber III 10KW 4000 x 2000 laser which will be installed at the beginning of the production line in the coming days.


Our showroom dedicated to linear axis and robot gantries comes to life in Bazas.

This is an ongoing project since the last extension of our premises: the creation of a showroom equipped with machines within our headquarters in Bazas in order to welcome our customers and partners in a more qualitative way.


CEAD builds an additive manufacturing machine with a LUCAS axis

CEAD is a Dutch company based in Delft specialising in large scale 3D printing. CEAD develops a range of high capacity composite 3D printing machines built with poly robots, linear axis or 3-axis cartesian gantries. 3D printing is a field that is undergoing a revolution, making it easy to create unique parts with designs that would otherwise be impossible to manufacture. In this context, LUCAS linear axis serves as the 7th robotic axis, extending the reach of the poly robot and thus allowing the production of large parts.


LUCAS delivers a cat. 1 linear axis to the Université de Poitiers

If we specialise in heavy industrial projects where the ability to handle high loads is paramount, our range of standard linear axes and robot gantries starts with category 1. This category offers fast linear tracks with potentially long reach but limited load capacities. This allows us to explore domains such as cobotics or the design of robotic cells with small poly robots. As with all our products, the standard Category 1 floor-mounted linear axis are compatible with all brands of multi-jointed robots on the market.  



After several postponements due to the health crisis, the 2021 edition of Global Industrie in Lyon will take place from 6 to 9 September. As planned in 2020, we will be present with a machine stand and 3 partners within the Aquitaine Robotics / French Federation of Robotics Clusters eco-system. This is an important decision because we wanted to exhibit a large machine and demonstrate our ability to work in partnership with multiple players to offer a quality service from the pre-project stage to maintenance to our customers and end users.


A logistical challenge met to ship this large capacity 3-axis robot gantry

The testing of this Cartesian gantry and its vertical telescopic axis took several days in the workshop before it was ready for shipment. A challenge, since the gantry weighs almost 8 tons without its Comau polyarticulated robot.


VLM delivers a large capacity additive fabrication machine with 2 LUCAS linear axis

Additive manufacturing or 3D printing is a cutting-edge subject in industry with a very significant growth potential. IREPA Lasers, Aperam and their partners (École supérieure des technologies industrielles avancées (Bidart), Institut Jean Lamour (Nancy), 3D Prodways group (Paris) and the design office TPSH) are launching into the printing of large parts, with LUCAS axis.

New: Lifts

Still in the “new products” range, it is now possible to use our axes in vertical position in order to realize lifts to raise and lower robots of any brand.
